BEST Community Resource Center provides after school and out of school time programs for children in our community. Our goal is to provide safe, engaging and meaningful extracurricular programs to enrich the lives of students, we offer various opportunities with hands-on fun, which includes multi-sensory activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership while giving parents a peace of mind and enable schools to focus on their academic mission.
The after-school program offers various activities for students to participate in, such as tutoring in Math and Literary, receive homework assistance, snack time, play time, movie time, and computer time.
Hours for the after-school program are from 3-6pm
All registrations are received and reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. Upon filling all open spots, all additional submissions will be added to our waiting list.
Targeting at-risk youth population ages 10 -22 in communities deprived of financial, academic and social primary resources and provide strong role models, mentorships, leadership and spiritual grounding as well as counseling and discipline techniques to help redirect negative behavior and promote strong confident and well-rounded students prepared to be a positively productive citizen in their communities.
Participants learn how to build and tone muscles, increase lean body mass, and improve hand-eye coordination, balance, movement, cardiovascular-respiratory endurance, & flexibility.
Building Futures challenges students from K - 12th grade to use their imagination in constructing a structure or project using interlocking blocks. By introducing children to construction industry careers at an early age, we are hoping to create awareness and develop their interest in future careers in the industry.
This program will expand your child’s knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) through guided learning and play. Our fun and interactive instructors will have your child learning without them knowing it.

Growing Constantly educational services offer guided learning experiences
that prepare students for long term success. Tutoring services are provided
to PK-8 grade students in areas of literacy, mathematics, and social and
emotional development. Tutors use research-based "findings to inform
instruction that is intended to increase each child’s competency level.
Students will extend their conceptual knowledge through participation,
practice and rich interactions.

Supplemental services like tutoring provide students with the tools they need
to succeed. Students that participate in tutoring services generally perform
better in and out of school.
Vibrant Anarchy (inspired by the freedom and pain of love) encourages youth to take a look inwards. Through art, children will begin to mend the broken pieces through self-love and reflection.

Plant It Forward will introduce students to the major concepts used in growing herbs, flowers, and vegetables organically. Students will manage and grow crops to harvest for themselves and the community.
This workshop will introduce students to the fun aspects of writing. Students of all ages write short stories and papers, from younger elementary-school writers through college-age students. When you teach writing, you want creative ideas and methods that keep the students interested in the lesson and eager to record their own stories. Different ways of teaching writing creatively include ideas with a basis in reality and fantasy-based ideas.
